Mayor Broome has given the most courageous and forthright message on Black History Month that I have heard from any Baton Rouge mayor since the beginning of the celebration of Black History Month, which began in 1970. It is my honor to have DORLA post this Shout Out to Mayor-President Sharon Weston Broome, who is also a Dialogue On Race Louisiana Alum.
