Together We Achieved: Looking Ahead to a Brighter Future

Are we really at the end of the year already? Since it is true, I would like to pause this holiday season to say how grateful I am for all of you. If you are reading this, yes, I mean you. You have given your time, talents, treasures, and attention to what it means to focus on making your community great! And that you see Dialogue on Race Louisiana aligning with your vision.  You have shown that when you join a conversation about race, something that so many others fear talking about. Thank you for trusting Dialogue on Race Louisiana to provide a supportive space that values your voice and that of all others who choose to take the time to engage in meaningful dialogue about the status of Race and what we would like to see changed. 

I am talking to you, who said, "Yes, I will donate to this organization because I believe in its work for change and its unique educational process for understanding and change." Your support of us has had a significant impact on this organization's ability to help bring about positive change. 

I am talking to you who said to your friends, "You gotta do this." We know you said it because your friends showed up for conversation and told us you told them they should come to the Dialogue on Race. We are grateful for you, and they are too. 

This organization has grown and expanded because of supporters like you. Your unwavering support and partnership have been instrumental in helping us achieve remarkable milestones. We are deeply grateful for your contributions and look forward to your continued support. 

Thanks to your support this year, Dialogue on Race Louisiana has reached more than 45 cities in 15 states across the United States. This growth has been so significant that DORLA has evolved into a new brand, A National Conversation on Race. Your involvement and commitment have been crucial in this expansion, and we are profoundly grateful for your part in our journey. 

We are committed to addressing the problems you are most concerned about. One top concern is around the justice system, mainly policing. We are actively creating a new Dialogue on the Race Series focused specifically on the criminal justice system. Another concern involves discrimination in the health care system, and that series is entitled Dialogue on Race and Health Care. It seems fitting to create a space for a more expanded conversation on matters important to our society. 

You have helped us at Dialogue on Race have a year of exhilarating experiences and encouraging growth. This year, we are inspired to begin the new year with encouragement that 2025 will bring expansions and success. We can't wait to see what we will achieve together in the coming year.
